I was lucky to get my hands on a copy of FB. Here are my impressions from a little flight in the P-47.

Take off is pretty basic. Just feather the props, go to 15% throttle, increase prop pitch to 25%, when at 30 Km/ph go to full rich fuel mixture, increase throttle to 45%, then at 100 Km/ph increase the throttle to 75%, lower flaps and open the oil cooler to 1/3, at rotation speed reduce prop pitch to fine, put fuel mixture to fine, increase throttle to 110% and just take her up, no sweat.
