"The sheer ability and depth of this application has to be seen to be believed...its awesome!!" - Paul Villiers See what others have said about GPLAIM here
GPLAIM (GPLAI Modder) is a very comprehensive program that enables the user to completely tailor the AI in GPL.
The user can edit over 700(!) AI values, that effect either all drivers globally, specific drivers, or all drivers at a specific track. Both players and GPL developers (such as track designers) should find the program useful. One of the most important features of the program is the ability to create any number of AI files and easily and quickly swap between these files, compare them against one another and define any one file as the current file to be used by the game.
The program comes with pre-configured files that may be selected by the driver either to use in the game or to use as a starting point for creating the users own AI files. The values of the pre-configured files may be re-defined by the user to create a completely customizable program. Also, new drivers may be created to replace existing drivers or pre-configured drivers may be imported - all F1 drivers from the 1963 to 1985 seasons inclusive may be selected - that's over 1000 drivers, each with their own personal stats! So, you'd like to know how Ayrton Senna would stand up against Jim Clark? Of course, you can load a pre-configured driver and edit that driver, if you wish.
Once a file is created, you can view it in many ways, in a graph, in an (explorer-like) treeview, or as it appears in the actual ini file. Files may be easily compared one against another.
